At 8:30 on Thursday night I got a call from Sydney’s teacher, asking if I would “sub” for her the next morning. I had a good laugh with her and then realized she really was in desperate need of help! (The other teachers and 2 other moms who are actual teachers either had sick kids or doctor appointments.) So…I showed up Friday morning and totally “winged it.” I’ve helped out in the class enough to know the basic schedule of the morning, so it really was fine. (We had exceptionally long snack and play ground time.) Of course the unit this week was on dogs and cats–my 2 biggest fears and least knowledgeable topics.

Sydney was in her glory…being my bossy little teacher’s assistant.

The worst part of the day was that I missed Logan so badly. I saw him really quick in the morning before I dropped him off at Stacy’s house–and by the time I got home, Rodd had come home for lunch and put him down for his nap–so I didn’t even see him til 4:00. I was so glad to see my boy! ♥

because it seemed to be getting worse. After seeing our pediatrician we realized that after an ear infection Logan had in January, the fluid didn‘t drain completely behind his ears and that‘s what has been causing his limited hearing. We’re thankful it was nothing serious & just wish we could do something for him other than letting it run its course over the next 3 months.
