Visiting Friends

We  spent a few days this past week with some great friends. First of all, Gary, Annie &  Hannah Earl (dear friends for as long as I can remember) came on Tuesday afternoon.  They’re home on furlough from PNG.  It was so great catching up with them & we just wished they could’ve stayed longer.  

 

Our second treat was having sweet Aimee and her mom Joan here with us for the night.  Our dads are best buds from college and they’ve stayed in touch over the years.  Aimee (who I hadn’t seen since we were little girls) recently finished missionary training with NTM and is  preparing to leave for PNG in 2010.

  

Who’s in with me?

Okay–so here’s the deal.  You might think I’m a little crazy, but I’d like to change Carson’s name!  I begged Rodd over dinner to change his name, and got my request denied. I really do like the name Carson–but I love the name Maximus. He told me  it’s not fair to Carson cuz he already knows his name.  After that I looked at Carson and said “hi Maximus”  and he turned his head & looked straight at  me! 

So…here’s where you come in. How about we join hands in calling Carson Maximus?!  I won’t actually change his name legally–but we can call him Maximus and he’s young enough now  for it to catch.  If my cousin’s legal name is Jessica and she goes by “Paka”  because her big brother wanted to call her “pocket” like a baby kangaroo–surely we can pass on Maximus.

Now, since none of this will actually pan out and he remains Carson…feel free (& blessed) to use Maximus or Boston–(my other fav boy name) as long as you pass along the royalties to me some day.
